Privacy Policy

We built AlignCheck because we wanted a tool we'd trust with our own partnerships. That means being honest about what we collect, where it lives, and who can see it.

What we collect

• Account info — your email and a name (whatever you give us).
• Interview responses — the answers you write to the 20 audit questions.
• Payment info — handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card.

Where it lives

Your data is stored in our backend (Supabase, hosted in the US), encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is locked down by row-level security: only you and your co-founder can read your audit, and not even our admins can read your interview answers or report contents — only metadata like status and timestamps.

Who can see it

• You and your co-founder — full access to your shared audit and report.
• Stripe — payment information only, for processing your purchase.
• Resend — your email address only, to deliver transactional emails.
• Anthropic — your interview responses are sent for AI analysis when you generate the report. Anthropic does not retain prompts for training under our API usage agreement.
• AlignCheck staff — metadata only (audit status, payment status, dates). We cannot read your answers or report.

How long we keep it

We keep your data until you ask us to delete it. There's no automatic expiry, because founders sometimes want to revisit their report a year later. Email hello@aligncheck.app to request deletion and we'll wipe your account and all associated data within 7 days.

Cookies

Only essential session cookies, used to keep you logged in. No tracking, no analytics cookies, no third-party advertising pixels.
